Boria majumdar museum of fine

Be it Sachin Tendulkar's th-century gloves or PV Sindhu's Rio Olympics silver medal-winning jersey, sports lovers will now have the opportunity to see them at India's first multi-sport museum in Kolkata which was formally opened today.

Named "Fanattic Sports Museum", this is a joint initiative between Boria Majumdar, notable sports historian and India Today's Consulting Editor, Sports, and industrialist Harshavardhan Neotia.

The museum was today inaugurated by former India cricketers Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly, along with Beijing Olympic Gold medalist Abhinav Bindra.

Paralympics medallists Devendra Jharjharia, Deepa Malik, and industrialist Sanjiv Goenka were also present.

Besides his prized gloves, Tendulkar has also donated his bat, sweater, jerseys among other things for the museum.
